Through one of his social media pages, Oscar Sudi has responded to the allegations of the fake certificates after the Kenya Institute of Management(KIM) declared that the Diploma Certificate that he reportedly acquired in 2005 was fake.

He condemned individuals prosecuting his case in the court of public opinion and urged them to wait for the court process to take its course.

Sudi is set to take to the stand to defend himself against the evidence presented in court over the fake documents.

“When it is my turn I will align over 50 witnesses on my side,” he attested in his statement.

He blamed the media fraternity for fanning the flames on the allegations and claimed that they were peddling lies around his case.

This comes after the former Head of Examinations at the Kenya Institute of Management(KIM), John Matsheshe in his testimony, disclosed that Sudi never attended classes at the institute.

Matsheshe further confirmed that the Diploma Certificate that the MP held was originally prepared for another student named Elkanah K. Kimutai.

Reports indicated that the certificate that Sudi holds was awarded to him in 2005, a year before he officially received his KCSE certificate.

The vocal lawmaker is accused of forging a certificate in Business Management purporting it to be a genuine document issued by the Kenya Institute of Management.

On Tuesday, October 26, Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Principal Examinations Secretary, Nabiki Kashu, told Magistrate Felix Kombo that Sudi did not register or sit for the KCSE exams in 2006 at Highway Secondary School.

She added that his certificate was registered to Parklands Secondary School.

Nabiki, who is the head of records and archives at KNEC, revealed to the court that Sudi’s records do not appear in either Highway or Parklands Secondary Schools.
